SUBJECT: Request for Construction of Substitute Agriculture Road in Yomitan-Son

TO: Chief Executive
Government of the Ryukyu Islands

1. Reference is made to your letter GRI-LA(L)347, dated 28 June 1958, subject as above.

2. It is the desire of this office to assist with the construction of a substitute farm road in the area indicated on the attached sketch, however, before negotiations with the USARYIS Engineer can be initiated, the following certifications and information must be submitted to this office:

a. Release of all necessary land by individual owners, required for the road.
b. Certification by the Yomitan-Son office insuring that the United States Government will not be held liable for any damage to adjacent properties and/or farm crops resulting in the process of installing the road.
c. A sketch indicating the exact width, length and location, in scale, of the farm road.
