SUBJECT: Crop Clearance, 7th Tactical Depot Squadron – Yomitan Son

TO: Chief Executive
Government of Ryukyu Islands

1. Forwarded herewith is an overlay with an area crosshatched in red which must be cleared of crops by 1 May 1958.

2. A field inspection of the area to be cleared was made on 25 March 1958 by representatives of this office, Yomitan Son, and the military. During this inspection the Son representative was advised that the area required for clearance would be considered a restricted area when clearance had been completed. Signs will be posted around the perimeter of the area to insure that such restriction is brought to the attention of all concerned.

3. It would be appreciated if you would formally advise the Mayor of Yomitan Son of this clearance requirement.
